1. The Meeting
   1. The Journey of Mary
      It would have taken 3-4 days to journey from Nazareth to the Judean hill country.
   2. The Blessing from Elizabeth
      She blessed Mary both for her role in God's plan and her faith to join Him.
2. The Magnificat
   1. Personal Blessings
      She recognized that God had blessed her personally. "He has done great things for me!"
   2. His Ways
      God is merciful toward all who fear Him. God disregards "status" and works with the humble.
   3. Keeping His Promises
      God kept His unconditional promises to Israel ... and the whole earth is blessed through their blessing.

Conclusion

The Logic for Joy:

• God's Grace
• God's Person (Who He is)
• God's Blessing
• Faith

1. What are some things in your life that distract you from recognizing and/or remembering the magnificent and awesome nature of God?
2. What are some of the "great things" that God has done for you?
3. Review the "logic for joy," and make sure you understand and can explain it.
   ​Spend some time confessing God's goodness, His blessing, Who He is and your faith and belief, etc. (share these things with others and/or write them down).
