- The Message
The doctrine of grace was summarized in verses 38, 39.
Justification by faith is available because of the work of Jesus Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. - The Mayhem
- Some received the word.
They were eager to hear more. The apostles simply urged them to continue in the grace of God. In other words, “remain open to what God is doing in your hearts.”
- Some rejected the word.
They were angry about this “gospel” and worked against what Paul and Barnabas were trying to explain. This is sad because it was their privilege to receive and proclaim this Word.
- Some received the word.
- The Mission
The apostles were carrying out what God had asked them to do…and we have the same message to proclaim. We can joyfully leave the outcomes of our efforts to God.
Conclusion
We are the dogs at the table, would you care for some crumbs? This news is too good to keep to ourselves 
.
