Five of our seven grandchildren are in school this fall.  It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago that Tim (our oldest son) was starting Kindergarten.  The kids are growing up and the only place we can freeze their moments are pictures.  In pictures the little ones stay little but in real time, they grow.  As they grow they face new challenges and opportunities.  It is our job as parents to facilitate their growth toward God and it is our job as a church to supplement the home with the tools and personnel parents need to make apprenticeship with Jesus seem “normal.”  Our new “Family Resource Center” will be fully stocked this weekend with all sorts of helpful videos and literature.  The Faith Path was developed to help parents see the various unique stages children face and help them see how God’s presence matters in each stage of life.   Ethan and Katie Cole have spent hours of time putting the materials together and as a church we have made a significant investment in getting this resource center up and running.  If you have a newborn, there is help for you.  If you have a student getting ready for school there are resources for you.  If you have a teen age child, there are helpful brochures for you as well.  Grandparents and non-parent church members all play a role in the faith development of children.  Let’s all do our part to see our children develop “Sticky Faith” and continue walking with God for His glory and their good.
