We had a dog once, a Cocker Spaniel named Sassy. Yes, she was. She loved to go for walks. She knew those words, “Sassy, wanna go for a walk?” She went crazy. She never refused the opportunity to go for a walk. As followers of Jesus, we’re on a walk in this life, and we have a lot of choices along the path. There are many distractions, there are many temptations, there are many disappointments, hurts and struggles. Sometimes we get off the path. Sometimes we lose our way. Sometimes we get attacked. But God is with us and He has given us signposts. He has provided His Spirit, His Word and His people so we don’t have to walk alone. When we get off the path, there is always a way back. Lord willing, on Sunday, we’ll be studying Ephesians 5. The word “walk” is used three times and forms an outline for the first 21 verses. Whether you join us on-line or in-person, I hope you will read the passage ahead of time and become familiar with the language of the chapter. It is a very practical section on our manner of life as dearly loved children of the Heavenly Father. Wanna go for a walk?
